This midcentury house in Bloomington, IN, belongs to a client who returned to her hometown. During the pandemic, she and her husband asked Susan to remodel a home she remembered from childhood, once owned by her mother’s best friend.
The SYH team preserved much of the original 1958 layout, opening up the kitchen to a nearby hallway. They reimagined an older addition, updated a more recent one, and gave the exterior and landscaping a complete makeover.
They also curated the interiors, blending old, new, and custom pieces. The clients’ love of playful colours, original art, and vintage furniture added joy to the entire process.
